WHAT IS SAFETY FILM USED FOR?

Safety film is used on buildings and glass balustrades or glass balconies, to strengthen glass, in the event of impact the glass will shatter but the film will hold the glass in place.

 

It can be applied to glass to upgrade any glazing in buildings to current regulations EN12600 (2B2) the old BS6206 class 'B'.

Q: Can the film also reduce heat coming through the glass?

A: Yes we have a range of safety film, some tinted, that reduces heat by reflecting the light back, during summer it can reduce the amount of heat coming through the glass by up to 80%, while still allowing you to see out.

Q: Can the film add security to my home or shop?

A: Yes, the film helps to prevent "smash and grab". the film comes in a range of thickness. The thickest film used in more critical high security glazing is actually often used to minimize the effect of damage in the event of bomb blasts.

Q: How do i clean my windows after installing safety film?

A: Our films have a "Hard" scratch resistant layer, for durability and ease of maintenance during window cleaning. Simply use a soapy water solution, do not clean for at least a month after initial install.

Q: Can the film also stop our furniture from fading?

A: Yes even with 0% tint, our safety film contains UV protection - specifically intended for the purpose of preventing fading of paint and fabrics in your home or office.
